Oil Shortage

There are a lot of folks who can't understand how we came to have an oil
shortage here in America.
Well, there's a very simple answer. "Nobody bothered to check the oil."
We just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely
geographical.
All our oil is in Alaska, Texas, California, and Oklahoma.
All our dipsticks are in Washington, DC.

And Washington is causing the shortage. We are putting back into The Strategic Storage, that's the oil the Air Force, and Navy, etc. use, all the oil they can and that why we have a shortage. Why so fast? Maybe because Caheney worked for Halliburton. Or because it's good for the Oil Co. or Texas, or Bush.
Unless we are going right back into war again we usually take year to bring those stocks back to full so as not to TAX the public for the need to do so by driving up prices.

>Their cost for this excellent plan is $00.00, Nada, Zilch. This little perk

>Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made. That

Can we win at all?? I think not. D

Tell the Supreme Court how you feel

START
The fate of the Pledge of Allegiance rests in The Supreme Court!

To voice my support for the Pledge of Allegiance, I have signed
a Grassfire.net petition calling on the U.S. Supreme Court to
support the Pledge of Allegiance by reversing an earlier ruling
that found the Pledge to un-Constitutional.

This is a critical case that if not overturned, could affect other
critical foundational documents in our nation.

By adding my name to the 584,384 citizens who are
standing to save the Pledge, I am sending a message to the U.S.
Supreme Court that I expect them to do everything in their power
to protect and preserve our Pledge of Allegiance for the
generations of citizens that follow.

Please join me in signing this crucial petition and have your
petition delivered to the Supreme Court and Congress:

http://www.grassfire.org/14/petition.asp?PID=5873606

P of OR, USA
END

I won't be signing it but we try to speak to all sides. If the word "God" is the problem, because that is too limiting why not replace "God" with "Our Supreme Being" as most limits would be gone then. We are a country of many kinds of churchs. But they, I think, believe in their SUPREME BEING.

Ask for Paige to be fired! Who is he? Read on...

Last month, President Bush's Secretary of Education, Rod Paige, called America's largest teachers' union a "terrorist organization." Why? Because the union had the gall to insist that President Bush live up to his own promises to adequately fund education. Please sign our petition demanding that President Bush fire Secretary Paige.

Ask for Paige to be fired. Sign the petition

This is typical behavior for the Bush administration. It says one thing - "no child left behind" and does another - under-funding its promises to our schools by $9.4 billion in its latest budget proposal. And when people dare to disagree with its policies, it questions their patriotism or labels them terrorists.

Secretary Paige uses insult to defend the indefensible. Not only did the president break his promise to fund the reforms, his current budget calls for cuts in support for schools over the next five years. And he still wants to take billions from public schools to pay for private school vouchers. So Paige resorts to slurs: even in his supposed apology, he dismissed teachers' growing concerns as "obstructionist scare tactics."

We teach our kids that name calling is not the right way to win an argument - in fact, it’s usually a sign that you don't have the facts on your side. Making our schools better is a tough job. We need a Secretary of Education who sees teachers and their representatives as partners in this effort rather than as enemies. Join in in calling on President Bush to find a better person for the job.
